Title: Investigating the mechanistic contribution of Cav1.2 channels in the extinction of

cocaine-associated memories

Major Goals: The proposal seeks to identify the Cav1.2 L-type calcium channel mechanisms and its interacting molecular targets within defined cell types in the extinction of cocaine contextual memories.

Period of the Award: 07/01/2020-01/31/2027

Role: Principal Investigator

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)/NIH, R01 DA054368

Title: Circuit and Synaptic Mechanisms of Endocannabinoid-Opioid Crosstalk

Major Goals: This proposal will use in vivo calcium and neuromodulator detection via fiber photometry, ex vivo slice electrophysiology, optogenetics, and chemogenetics to investigate how 2-AG regulates opioid-mediated reward behaviors within the mesolimbic reward pathway.

Period of the Award: 09/30/2022 – 06/30/2027

Role: Principal on multi-PI grant

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)/NIH, R01 DA050454

Title: L-type calcium channel mechanisms mediating comorbid substance use and mood disorders

Major Goals: This proposal will address the role of LTCCs in antidepressant-like and anxiolytic-like effects following cocaine abstinence and chronic stress in rats.

Period of the Award: 09/30/2020-07/31/2025

Role: Co-Investigator

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)/NIH, R01 MH125006

Title: GABAergic Interneuron Dysfunction in Developing Cortical Circuits Underlying  Autism Spectrum Disorders mutations and ASDs

Major Goals: The proposal seeks to reveal the signaling pathways underlying activity-dependent development of early interneuron dysfunction and to assess how perturbations in this process lead to aberrant brain function.

Period of the Award: 12/01/2020-10/31/2025

Role: Multiple-PI
